Natalie is a robot in search of recognition and three-day weekends. She’s a diamond, glinting on her own finger, a comet spinning through the depths of space. She’s falling forever through a latticework of rainbows. Natalie radiates Tumblr energy. She’s a Broadway show for herself alone, one too many pop culture references, three bodies rolling away from each other on the stage. She’s busy taking care of her inner toddler, dancing around a creativity candle. This bitch has wings. Natalie is a dragon guarding a pile of Cheetos, wandering up and down mountains frozen in fairy tales. Chugging childhood cold from the fridge, eating your eyes like candy. She’s a peppermint mocha burning your tongue, a million glittery wasps flying at your face. A pack of wolves at your heels. Lifting up your puny frame and dropping you off a cliff. Natalie is a villain, Shego kissing Kim Possible like you always wanted. She’s a smattering of paper hearts across your bedroom wall, last night’s bonfire still smoking on your sheets. Orange honey, sticky in your hair. Natalie is drowning in her own words, bursting at the seams with magic and confetti. She’s a jumble of disparate pearls held together with packaging tape, a goose alone in a parking lot. Goldfish and gremlins swimming in her veins. Natalie is a portal to somewhere with unicorns and cures for every ailment. True human empathy. She’s a sun, willing the planets to rotate around her. A little cat, licking herself in the closet. A closed window, dreaming it’s the crystal spinning in the breeze.
