The ends of my hair,
just above my right shoulder,
are always curling outward—
bad news for a bi girl with a bob.

Last month, I bought a
blow dryer and a round brush. This
week I bought a discounted heat
protectant and styling spray. Nothing
works. Not that I try too hard. I
always give up after two tries.

Today, I woke up with my bob in
the right place. Too bad, with my
swollen knee, nobody’s bound to
see it except my roommate who
just went out on a date.
